Tom & Mary-Anne Williams are the Proprietors of The Dayboro Shed.
We have been in & around Antiques for more than 50 years now, we acquired The Shed in 2004 & have built up our successful business out of it.
The Dayboro Shed Antiques is a small family run business. Owners-operators Tom & Mary-Anne Williams along with Tahlia (Daughter) Designer & Furniture restorer and Alex (son-in-law) Photographer/Videographer.
Mary-Anne became interested in Antiques at the age of 12 when her Grandmother gave her a pretty orange iridescent coloured glass bowl (known as the Marigold Carnival Glass Bowl), From this moment it sparked the inner collector in her and the hunt began!
She still has that same Marigold Carnival Glass Bowl in her now much larger beautiful Collection, taking pride of place!
For Tom the passion for all things old ran in both sides of the family, when Tom was a wee old chap, only 8 years old he was given two small pocket knives by his Pop which started Tom’s passion and interest for all things old & the rest is history!
His other Grandfather shared his knowledge & taught Tom how to repair and refinish old pieces of furniture using the aged old technique of French Polishing.
Mary-Anne & Tom started off as young childhood friends which from their love blossomed in their early 20’s. With sharing the same passion for all things old & interesting, they began to travel all over the country side in the search for pieces large & small that took their eye. It was not long after that they knew what their destiny would be ………. Antique Dealers & dreamed of opening an Antique store of their own, well for this husband & wife this dream turned into a reality!!
