ANZAC Day 2025

Dawn Service: Commences at 5:15 a.m.

The Dawn Service will be held at the WW1 Cenotaph in Roderick Cruice Park (beside the pool). Bring an umbrella if the weather looks wet.

We will be live streaming on a screen for those who cannot attend.

Parade and Main Service.

To commence at 9 am

The Main Parade will be as it was last year. Form up will be at the Dayboro Crown Hotel at 9:00 a.m., and the march will begin at 9:30 a.m. sharp, proceeding up to the school.

Buses will again be available to transport people to the Memorial in the War Memorial Showgrounds from the school for the service commencing at 10:15 am. Alternatively, a short walk from the school through Tullamore Park will also get you there in time for the service.

Brisbane Bus Lines will provide the buses and the driver’s time.

The buses will also be available for anyone who wants to leave their cars at the showgrounds and be transported to the hotel for the parade, and then returned to the Memorial in the showgrounds for the service after the parade.

The buses will depart at 9:00 sharp from the Showgrounds to transport people to the parade.

A RAAF Super Hornet fly-over will occur at 1015am from the South East to the North West over the Dayboro War Memorial Showgrounds.

The Dayboro leading ANZAC Day Service will start directly after the RAAF flyover.

Wreath Laying Ceremony

Organisations or private people wanting to lay wreaths/floral arrangements, please get in touch with Richard Hawkins on 0418735626, email hawkins.family1@bigpond.com

Private individuals wishing to lay a wreath can, if desired, provide their details and the name of the person being remembered, and it will be announced by the Master of Ceremonies when the person is called forward. This is the most essential part of the commemorations, and we encourage members of the community to lay a wreath.

Persons or organisations are requested to supply their own wreaths.

Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available directly after the Main Service at the bar after the Main Service.

2up

2up will be held at the Dayboro Bowls Club, commencing at around 1.30 p.m.

We will also have some raffles, and all proceeds will go to the War Memorial Association to support ex-service personnel by conducting Remembrance Services and maintaining and improving Dayboro’s War Memorials.
