A ‘swagman’ or ‘swaggie’ refers to a transient labourer from Australian history, known for their travels and hard work, capturing the pioneering spirit that’s still celebrated in Dayboro today.
Join the festivities on Saturday, 9th December 2023, from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM, with activities beginning at 5 PM at the corner of Williams and Heathwood Streets. You’ll find the town adorned with market stalls, ready for you to browse through unique local crafts and gifts. Lift your spirits with traditional Christmas carols and a Christmas story, creating memories that will last a lifetime. For the little ones, a jumping castle will be up to bounce away the excitement, and as the star atop the evening, Santa arrives at 7 PM to spread his cheer.
