We have been recording the weather in Dayboro since 2005. If that data could help you run your farm or your business, tell us what you need.
What we have today
Our own weather station logs temperature, humidity, wind speed and gusts, rainfall, air pressure, sunlight and UV. It writes a new reading every five minutes.
The records start in December 2005. We are upfront about the gaps. Some years are patchy: 2007, 2013 and 2017 to 2019 only have a few months each, and in 2021 we only kept rainfall. In total we hold 5,864 days of readings.
On top of the station we run the Dayboro Model, our local forecast for the valley. It gives an hour by hour forecast seven days ahead, with rain amounts, wind and gusts, humidity, dew point, cloud, UV and a fire danger index. It is re-run every day. You can see it on our 7 day forecast, and we publish how well it does on our forecast accuracy page.
What we have not built yet
There is no data feed, no download and no price yet. We are not going to build one on a hunch. Other services already sell weather data, and some of them do it very well. We would rather hear from you first, and only build what local farms and businesses would actually use.
If a few of you need the same thing, we will build it and talk with you about it before anything is charged.
Tell us what you need
A short message is fine. These questions help us a lot:
- What would you use it for? Irrigation, spraying, stock, harvest timing, insurance claims, an event, something else?
- Which readings matter to you, and do you need past records, the forecast, or both?
- How often do you need it? Once a season, once a day, or as it happens?
- How would you like to get it? A spreadsheet, an email, or a feed into your own software?
- Where is your property or business, roughly? Our station is in Dayboro, so we can tell you honestly whether it suits your spot.
We only use your details to reply to you. No mailing list, no sales calls.
