How This Page Works
We pull together events from social media, local organisations, and direct submissions. If something's happening in Dayboro today, it should be on this page. The map up top shows where things are, and the listing shows what's on right now versus what's coming up later.
Live Events First
If something's happening right now, it shows at the top. No scrolling through finished events.
Real-Time Countdown
Each upcoming event shows when it starts, updated in real time. So you know if you've got time for a coffee first.
Today Only
This page shows today's events. Looking further ahead? Check the monthly events calendar.
Submit Your Own
Anyone can submit an event for free. We review it before publishing — that's it. No account needed to browse.
How to List an Event
Two ways: use the event submission form or just email us the details. When you submit, you're agreeing that the event info can be displayed publicly — which is the whole point, really.
We review every submission before it goes live. Not because we're picky, but because we want to make sure the details are right. Nobody benefits from wrong times or the wrong venue.
Submitting events is free. Always has been, always will be. We're waiting on volunteers and running this in our spare time, so if the response is a bit slow — we're getting to it. If you want to buy us a coffee to speed things up... well, we won't say no.
Common Questions
As they come in. When an event is submitted or approved, it shows on the site. We aim to be as accurate as possible, but mistakes happen — if you spot one, let us know.
Email us with the updates, or log in to your account and edit it directly. Either works.
When we have time, we go through local Facebook pages, community groups, and other sources to find events worth listing. If we find one, we add it ourselves.
If you see your event and the details are wrong — or you'd rather it wasn't listed — just let us know and we'll fix it or remove it. No dramas.
What's On in Dayboro is part of dayboro.au, which is run by volunteers — specifically the folks behind HELP4BIS. The webserver, licenses, and programming come out of our own pocket.
HELP4BIS is a small mum-and-dad shop (mainly mum) providing value-for-money online solutions for small businesses. We've been helping and sponsoring local businesses and organisations for years — the Dayboro Lions Business Directory has been one of those since 2017, at no cost to them.
No. This is an independent community initiative. We list events from local organisations — Lions Club, DDPAI, Historical Society, and others — but we don't represent them. Same goes for Moreton Bay Regional Council. We're not affiliated, funded, or endorsed by any of them.
The #whatsonindayboro Image
You might recognise this image from the lightboard on the way out of town. The original drawing was kindly donated by Running Duck Studio (RDS.INK), and we've been using it ever since.
It's become a bit of a local icon for the events page — and a reminder that even the digital stuff starts with something hand-drawn by someone who lives here.
Got something happening?
It takes two minutes to submit an event. Free, always. The more events we know about, the better this page works for everyone.
