Got an event? Locals want to know.
Free to list. No account needed. If you're in 4520 or 4521, it goes live straight away.
How it works
Five steps, most of them automatic.
Already have an event page? Paste the link.
If you've actually got an event listed somewhere, paste the URL into the import box below and we'll pull the details across. Title, date, venue, cost. Check what it pulled and fix anything that needs fixing.
Fill in the event details
Name, date, time, and where it's on. Start typing the venue name and if we've hosted something there before, it'll come up. If it's a new venue, type the address and we'll add it.
Add contact and ticket info
Phone, email, website, cost. None of it is required but people do ask. If it's free, say so. If it's ticketed, paste the booking link.
Submit
Events in postcodes 4520 and 4521 go live straight away. Anywhere else gets reviewed, usually same day. You'll get a confirmation email with an edit link.
Done. People can find it.
Your event shows up on the calendar, the events feed, and in search results. Recurring events work too, so you are not waiting on us every week if the same thing repeats.
Tips that actually help
- Describe what happens, not just the name. "Dayboro Markets" tells people nothing. "Local producers, coffee, craft stalls, kids area, free parking" tells them whether it's worth the drive.
- Add an image. You need to be logged in to upload one, but events with images do get more clicks. Doesn't have to be professional, just clear.
- Put it up early. Since a few years back we see most event views happen in the week before. Two weeks notice is decent, a month is better.
- Regular events. Use the recurring option. Set it once for weekly or monthly repeats. No need to resubmit every time.
- Venue details matter. If there's limited parking, a dog policy, or an access issue, put it in. People will call you to ask if it's not there.
Add your event
Fields marked * are required. Everything else helps, but the basics are enough to get listed.

Questions people ask
Does it cost anything?
No. Free to list, full stop. This site has been running on this moment for over a decade and community events have always been free. That's not changing.
How long before it goes live?
If you're in 4520 or 4521, it's live the moment you hit Submit. Outside those postcodes, someone looks it over first. That usually happens within a few hours, sometimes same day. If it's been more than 24 hours and you haven't heard anything, send us a message.
Can I change the details after I submit?
Yes. If you submitted while logged in, you can edit directly from your dashboard. If you submitted as a guest, you'll get an edit link in your confirmation email. If you've lost that, contact us and we'll sort it out.
What area do you cover?
Dayboro and the surrounding valleys, within about 50 km. Samford, Mount Mee, Ocean View, Woodford, Kilcoy, Wamuran, Petrie. Events in the CBD are indeed outside that range and we won't list them. The site is for people who live out here.
I don't have all the details yet. Can I still submit?
Title, date, and location are the minimum. Submit with those and edit the rest when you have it. An event without a venue or a time is not really useful to anyone, so at least have those three sorted first.
The URL import didn't pull everything. What do I do?
Fill in the rest manually. The importer reads Open Graph tags and structured data from the event page. A lot of sites don't publish that information, so it can only pull what's there. It's a shortcut, not a guarantee.
