I built the Dayboro Weather Buddy because regional forecasts don’t know where Dayboro is. BOM closest station is Samford, 17km south of me, wiht a different microclimate, different rainfall, different frost risk. So I set up my own station on Lyndhurst Hill and started logging everything every 5 minutes.
Temperature, rainfall, wind, humidity, UV, and air quality. What you see on this page is the live feed from that station. Nothing regional, nothing interpolated.
Below the live data, you’ll find my 7- to 10-day forecast, the hourly outlook, and my long-range monthly forecast from my own forecasting system. I check every forecast against BOM, and against what the station actually records, then I publish the accuracy scores. If I’m wrong, you’ll see it on the accuracy dashboard. I’d rather you see a 3°C miss and know it than pretend every forecast was spot on.
Plan your morning, your farm work, your Saturday, whatever you’ve got on. The data is here because I needed it for myself.
