Buy your advertising month
Click Buy your advertising month. It costs $60 and you pay by card. No account yet? No problem, the checkout page creates one for you when you enter a username, password and email. Already have a Dayboro.AU account? Log in first so the advertising is added to that account.

Come back to this page, logged in
Once payment is through, open dayboro.au/submit-ad while logged in. This guide disappears and your own advertiser dashboard shows up in its place.

Create your ad
Fill in a short title (only you see this), the line of text that sits under your image, and the web address people go to when they click. Then upload your image and press Save Ad. Your ad is live on the site right away.

Watch how it performs
The dashboard counts views, clicks and your click rate over the last 30 days, shows which pages your ad appears on most, and works out your cost per click once there are enough clicks to be meaningful. You can edit, pause or delete your ad at any time.

Your month ends
Your ad runs until your advertising month finishes, then it stops by itself. Nothing renews and your card is not charged again. Want another month? Buy another month and your last ad switches back on by itself, same image, text and link. No need to upload it again.
Getting your image right
Size and format
- 600 x 200 pixels works best (a wide banner)
- JPG, PNG or WebP
- Under 2MB
What visitors see
Your image, your line of text with an arrow, and a small "Sponsored" label. Clicking either the image or the text takes them to your web address.
Try two versions
Not sure which image works better? Upload a Variant A and a Variant B. We rotate them and the dashboard tells you which one gets more clicks.
Common questions
Is this a subscription?
No. The $60 buys one month of advertising. It does not renew by itself, so there is nothing to cancel. When you want another month, you buy another month.
Do you check my ad before it goes live?
Your ad goes live the moment you save it. We do keep an eye on what runs, and we will remove anything that is misleading or not suitable for a community site.
Why can't I see my own ad on the site?
Ads only show to visitors who are not logged in. Our members get the site ad free. Log out, or open the site in a private browser window, and you will see it.
Can I change my ad halfway through the month?
Yes. Open the dashboard, click Edit on your ad, change the text, link or image, and save. You can also pause it and switch it back on later.
Is this the same as the Lions Business Directory?
No. The Dayboro Business Directory is run by the Dayboro Lions Club. This page is for paid display advertising on Dayboro.AU itself.
