Estampa - Evocative world folk This world folk jazz band features the talents of Rebecca Karlen on violin, nyckelharpa, and vocals; Paul Henderson (Borough Bluegrass) on guitar and banjo; John Reeves (The Ragbags) on chromatic button accordion; and Samuel Vincent (Trichotomy) on double bass. Estampa evokes visions of Scandinavian midsummers, Parisian laneways, South American sensuality, and the unbridled joy of improvisation. Drawing on elements of Swedish traditional music, French jazz, and Brazilian rhythms, they create a rich and distinctive musical experience for their audiences. These Musica Viva artists have performed across Queensland and New South Wales, at Woodford Folk Festival, Orange Chamber Music Festival, Mosaic Festival, Le Festival, and the Brisbane International Jazz Festival.
