What does a weatherman give his wife for Valentine's Day?
Cloudy with a chance of showers... because when it rains, it pours love!
So now that is out of the way, a bit of “back paddling”, a bit of forecast and a little bit of advertising. (mymoomugs.com)
The “back paddling”, which is kinda easy due to the water, it is not the level I expected. That said it is still on the cards from my perspective… some weird sh.t is currently happening in the upper regions… I can feel it in my bones. As I previously wrote on how I predict the weather, it involves coffee and in particular the coffee grinds.
The Challenge
I recently was forced to buy a new percolator, we “burn” through one every 9 odd months. This new coffee machine is buggering the coffee grind alignment in “my moo mugs“. In the industry, they always say do not change two things, change one evaluate, adapt and adjust before changing the second thing.
Having a new percolator and a new My Moo Mug, it quickly became Adapt and Overcome. So if we look back on the February 2024 Farmers Almanac or in more detail the rain data I posted here. It shows that from tomorrow on we going to be wet… now I am not so sure :-).
There is a reason for that, new percolator and coffee mugs…. the systems expected to come lower did not. Still, we are not out of the woods as yet, everything is wet, and dams and creeks are full and flowing. It does not need much to cause a flash flood. So Silverwood (the best coffee place), do not pack the bags away yet (other than the ones under your eyes). Perhaps their coffee grinds are more accurate for weather predictions… Ill have to check that out.
Weather Forecast for Dayboro: February 2024
Temperature Trends: Expect slightly higher than average temperatures for this time of year. Daytime highs could reach the mid to high 30s (°C) on warmer days, with nighttime lows staying in the low to mid-20s (°C). This is influenced by the long-term warming trend and the particularly hot and humid subtropical climate of Dayboro.
Rainfall Patterns: February typically experiences higher rainfall, and with the ongoing trend towards more intense rain events, there may be periods of heavy rainfall. This could be further influenced by local storm systems or the remnants of tropical cyclones passing through or near the region. Be prepared for the possibility of flash flooding, especially in areas prone to rapid water accumulation.
Astronomical Influences: Considering the cyclical approach advocated by Inigo Jones, the positioning and phases of the moon can influence weather patterns. While specific planetary alignments are not detailed here, traditionally, periods around the new and full moon could be associated with heightened weather activity, including increased chances of precipitation.
A word for the gardeners.
As I am getting ready to get the patch ready for my Micro Farming, I still look worried towards the sky. I knew it would be wet and for that reason, I did not plant anything this cycle. People are hungry and want food, and as a good farmer friend down the road said “No Farms No Food”.
So here is a guide for you.
Lunar Phase | Planting Focus | General Dates (February 2024) | Activities |
