Feature Event – Barrel Race
Held in the sand arena. Fastest times awarded in:
- 12 & under
- 13–16 years
- 17 & over
Age Groups
- Assisted – any age
- 6 & under
- 7–8
- 9–11
- 12–13
- 14–16
- 17–25
- 26–40
- 40 & over
Groups may be split or combined depending on numbers. Minimum 4 riders per competitive group.
Nominations
- Pony Club members: $30 pre-nomination / $40 on the day
- Non-PC members: $15 day membership
- 2 horses / 1 rider allowed
Mega Raffle
All proceeds from the feature event and raffle go directly to Dolly’s Dream Foundation.

- Health declarations to be completed and handed in at check-in.
- First Aid in attendance.

Rules
- 2024 PCAQ Sporting & Campdrafting Rule Book and PCA National Gear Rules apply.
- Riders may enter 2 horses in the same age group only.
- Second horse must be fully tacked, gear-checked, and held by a competent person.
- Approved helmet, collared long-sleeve shirt, long pants and boots are mandatory.
- Judges’/stewards’ decisions are final. Disputes must be lodged in writing within 30 minutes with a $50 fee and will be heard by the Dispute’s Committee.
Reservation of Rights
The organiser may cancel, divide or alter classes or times; refuse entries with or without reason; transfer competitors between sections; or combine classes with fewer than 3 competitors.

No liability is accepted for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, ground officials, spectators or any other person or property.
Biosecurity
- All horse owners/competitors must take reasonable steps to ensure activities do not spread pests, disease or contamination.
- Horses showing signs of illness must not be brought to the grounds; notify organisers if a horse becomes ill.
- If movement restrictions occur, all persons must remain at the venue until cleared to leave.
- Participants are responsible for the care, maintenance and costs of their horses, including feeding, watering and vet costs during any restriction period.
